Ready to love learning

Adaptive. I have a background in experiential education and believe that the method is not as important as the end result of having assimilated, understood, and taught back the information. During my time at Hampden-Sydney College, I was a math tutor, computer science tutor,and a physics tutor. I started tutoring my junior year of college where I just tutor math and computer science. I mostly help students with Calc I and Calc for Econ problems. In my senior year, I continued to tutor math, but I tutored stats instead of calculus. I also tutored physics.
I first start by explaining the material the way that I understand it. I also show examples to show how the problems are solved. If it doesn't seem to be taking then I start to break the problems down into simple steps and explain each step until the student understands. I also try to relate the material to them so they can relate to the material on a more personal level so that the information will stick with them better.
