My comments on tutoring American History : I will have a BA in political science at the end of next semester.

I helped elementary kids in highschool ('08-'09). I was a peer facilitator for highschool Biology and Advanced Placement Psychology ('09), and I have various experience helping others understand the subjects they have trouble with. I'm not a know-it-all (math is my weakness) so I understand the other side of the coin and how sometimes you just need a different way to learn.

I have a master's degree in history and have been teaching introductory level history courses at the college level for four years now. I take complex ideas and break them down for the student piece by piece to a level where they can relate to them and begin to internalize the ideas. A Little Bit About Me...

Upon graduating from Columbia International University in 1980, I took a position at The King's Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida as the department head for the math tutoring department for elementary students. I stayed in that position for three years until I started a family. When my children became school age, I took a position at Dekalb Christian Academy in Atlanta, Georgia heading up the tutoring department and worked with elementary and high school students in various subjects. Upon leaving that positon in 1992, I became certified with the National Institute for the Learning Disabled. This certificate qualified me as an Educational Therapist.
