I am an Attorney with 20+ years of experience. I have successfully mentored and tutored young students and attorneys; including assisting with preparation for the LSAT and state bar exams. I served in the US Army Reserves as a JAG Officer; and provided instruction and counsel to many young soldiers. I was employed as an elementary school Teacher's Assistant; and have frequently volunteered as a classroom assistant and tutor.
My style of teaching depends on the student. We all learn in different manners; therefore my instruction will be tailored to techniques that maximize the students' specific learning preferences.

A Little Bit About Me...

As seen from above, I have valid tutoring experience in both middle grades and HS. I was in the student teaching program at Wake Forest and upon graduation, I was a substitute teacher in the Winston-Salem, Forsyth County School system. I also participated in the Junior Achievement program in the Piedmont NC region for over 5 years. I am currently a tutor with the "No Child Left Behind Program."
I am a disciplinarian. I have an excellent ability to gain a students attention, keep it and the results of my students have been well above average. I have a knack to bring into the classroom, outside events (latest ball games, Olympics, etc.) to establish a 'bond' between myself and the student. This allows me to gain their confidence as well as not create a bored atmosphere. I find this very important, especially with the more difficult students.

I love working with children and had around 9 different children for a two year period while working at the mental health agency. They ranged from 3 years old to 16 years old. I am patient when teaching new subjects and very empathetic to different situations and needs. I have always worked to do the best and be the best and make a positive impact along the way. I believe with a positive mentality and hard work the possibilities are unlimited and through helping guide individuals with subjects they struggle and promoting good ethics they too can follow this mentality.
