Teacher with gentle touch - Very good at explaining new subj

I try to find the teaching style that is going to work for the student. Are they visual? Do they need to touch to learn? Finding out how to teach them and then helping them learn skills for independent study are just as important as the material.
Web manager and usability analyst as well as instructor. I have been asked at various jobs to teach training classes to my peers because of my ability to deliver an easy to understand lesson. Government is one of my top subjects! I worked in public policy for around 5 years, and took a number of courses in government as an undergrad and graduate student.

I finished as an undergraduate with a major in economics, and minors in history, philosophy and religion. Next I worked for a year as a political risk analyst for a large multinational company helping them evaluate risks inherent to investing in unfamiliar environments. I found I enjoyed the work, but wanted to get more economics training with the hope of teaching economics. I moved from the for-profit company to their non-profit foundation that sponsored economic research, and spent the next 4 years evaluating grants in the area of economics, public policy, law and political science. I believe in letting the child set the pace when it comes to private tutoring. I would listen to child to learn what truly interests them and inspires them. I would then use this is my lessons so they enjoy the learning process. Children enjoy learning anything when it is taught in the appropriate way. I learned this very quickly teaching English to French elementary age students.
