I believe that in order to be an outstanding teacher one must exhibit a plethora of skills. For instance one must be able to multi-task and integrate many different occupations into the incredible job of being a teacher. You must be a police officer in that you have to be able to diffuse arguments if they arise (and they will). You must be a doctor, in that you must be able to apply bandages to minor injuries that can result from accidents during recess. You must be a judge, meaning that as a teacher one must always be as fair and just as possible. You must be a referee, if you decide to use education games into to enhance lessons, you as the teacher or in this case the referee must be able to run the game. You must be an interpreter; a teacher should always be clear and precise in giving directions, rules, and procedures.

I believe in learning by discovery and the use of manipulatives in a manner whereby the student learns without even knowing it. I also had the opportunity to work in industry for 2 years, so I got the experience of that to bring back into the classroom.
