Improving writing at all levels

Over ten years teaching writing at the college level and working in writing centers. I have also worked at two K-12 private schools. I have taught freshman composition, argumentation, literature and philosophy courses. I also have published numerous academic and creative works. I have worked with all ages and altitudes in writing. Collaborative & Fun Teacher

I believe that each student has a unique learning style of that must be discovered in real-time. Therefore I tailor the lessons towards an open, organic, collaborative process. I focus on small incremental steps designed to build momentum and flow states, which is the best way to start anything. The goal of any lesson is to bring the student to a place where they can learn on their own. The purpose of learning is fun!
I worked in the financial sector for 10 years and have a Master's Degree in Economics and Finance. Since then I have focused my efforts into freelance teaching, and have worked with students in a variety of subjects: chess, math, finance, language arts, history, piano, and writing, among others.
