I have been teaching and tutoring a diverse student population for almost 9 years. So far, it has been a mutually interesting experience for both parts, students and teacher. A Little Bit About Me...

I do enjoy teaching and I have worked with all types of children. I think it is an asset to observe how children learn and to be able to tap into their level of interest. I believe children need to be encouragement, to be challenged, to experience success, and to develop an excitement about learning. Once a child has experienced a level of success and an excitement for learning the sky is the limit to what they can accomplish.

My strongest area of expertise in teaching is reading. I have taught it for years. I have come to the conclusion through both personal experience, observation of other master teachers and through current educational research that it is most necessary to teach reading and math daily in a systematic manner while exposing the students to a learning rich environment(a classroom reading corner full of books is ideal for this).
