A Little Bit About Me...

I always wanted to be a teacher, but ended up being an engineer. I enjoy teaching in general and tutoring is a way for me to practice teaching. I enjoy tutoring kids and teenagers and be a mentor for them. I'm easy going and knowledgeable of the material. I like to be dynamic in my sessions to get the student's attention when they are tired and don't want to pay attention. I'm patient, responsible, and very dependable.
During my four years at Colorado State University, I tutored high school and college students in math and spanish. I also taught spanish to elementary school kids. After I graduated, I worked a part time position at Pueblo Community College as a Tutor/Lab Assistant. I like to teach individual or group lessons. At college of the Desert, I had a reputation for being an easy going with a lot of patience when tutoring. My teaching philosophy is to listen to the student and to focus in his or hers needs. I use scientific or graphic calculators when needed. Also, I use computer software to accelerate their learning experience.
I have been in school the last 10 years. I earned two Liberal Arts degrees in 2005. I also earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona in 2009. During my college years, I tutored college level math and college level physics. I also worked for a private tutoring company in Montclair, CA. My specialty are Math, Chemistry and Physics.
