My comments on tutoring Writing : I have worked as a full time teacher over 20 years teaching many high school level English courses, from ESL to advanced. I am currently a full-time instructor at an English Lab, working with students one on one to improve their English writing skills. I also edit and proofread college applications and the research papers of high school and college students. I have done undergraduate work in journalism at the University of Missouri School of Journalism and have been a professional reporter and editor.

I have taught high school subjects in English and the Social Sciences as a public school teacher for over 25 years both in the classroom and in Learning Labs where I worked one on one with students. I am currently a tutor volunteer for School on Wheels in downtown Los Angeles which serves the homeless population, as well as still a full-time teacher. I try to model my own love of learning to my mentee.

I’ve been exploring possible future careers for myself. Recently as I was tutoring one of my classmates with an English assignment, she mentioned to me that I am very easy-going when it comes to helping her learn and understand the assignments.
