I graduated from Purdue University with a Civil Engineering degree in 2003. This degree required an extensive amount of Math and Science course work. I am currently employed in the consulting industry. My job requires me to do a lot of Public Education and Outreach- to make Engineering and complicated environmental issues understandable to the general public. Having enjoyed mathematics and especially calculus in high school, I decided to major in Mechanical Engineering so that I would be able to enjoy the many math courses that were required. I excelled in Calculus during my studies at Pensacola Christian College. I had the opportunity to help a few other students with their Calculus and other subjects during my Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years. I still enjoy mathematics and would like to tutor students again.
I like to try to explain concepts in a way that I believe my student will find easy to understand. If I find that they do not understand I will try a different method of explaining the concept.
