I am a strategic based teacher that enhances my students learning through finding their own particular learning style. Each student has and individualized learning approach to their studies. Once they find what works for them, they will succeed. It is my job as an educator to help them find that out. I like to use a multi modality approach so that students learn all different types of learning styles, this way they may pick and choose certain styles that work for them. I am a recent graduate of the University of Hartford. I have a dual certification in Special Education and Elementary Education. I have taught in both Urban and Suburban areas in grades K, 1, 2,5,6, and 7. I have also tutored children in grade 4 and peers at the college level. I have tutored all elementary subjects and at the college level I have tutored in English and World History.
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in elementary school and now that I have graduated I am excited to finally live out my childhood dreams. I am very enthusiastic, patient, and creative. I love working and communicating with children. Every child that I have worked with is very different, and each child presents a unique challenge for me to overcome. Allowing the child to experience and discover the new concept usually works the best. I have also found that breaking the new concept down into steps works well.
