Reading opens whole new worlds just waiting to be explored.

I spent three Summers working as a volunteer, teaching reading to children of Hungarian refugees in England. I enjoyed working with these young people and they were eager to learn. I am a voracious reader and have been all my life. I am also a writer, I have had articles published in our Diocesan magazine and in the Franciscan Times, I am currently an assistant editor of Franciscan Times. I have helped many of my friends and other students become better writers throughout and beyond my college career. I have seen all of these students gain good grades for their work, and they also became better writers through the process. Writing papers is one of the few things I found easy in college. I enjoyed writing and the process so much that I majored in the subject. I have written way too many ten- twenty page papers in my life, struggled to see the project come to a close, and rejoice in happiness after the grade was posted/ returned.
