During my time as an undergraduate I was blessed with the opportunity of tutoring others. I have earned one bachelor degree, BS in Biology with and emphasis in genetics. Children have many different learning styles, and as an educator it is my job to discern which approach works best for each individual. In teaching math, I believe that all children learn best with a hands-on approach. Providing real-world examples and manipulatives that children can pick up, touch, and move around should be used at all levels – from kindergarten through high school.
