A Little Bit About Me...

I have forty years of experience at the secondary and college levels, and in retirement I tutor elementary school students in reading and math and teach philosophy to retired adults. I have been a teacher, administrator, and counsellor in eight independent schools and a college.
My teaching style is interactive. My goal is to make each student an independent learner and happy to be one. I have had success at all levels, and former students have praised me for giving them a sense of self-confidence and achievement.

I believe I teach to reach the highest level of potential and often come very close. I am a fantastic Highly Qualified Educator who gives all I have and then finds where to get more when I run out of ideas.
The school of Education in North Carolina prepared me well. I am above all flexible. My license reads K-8 and I have taught Art K-6 for a year, Second Grade for two years in NC.
