Elementary Reading is one of my top subjects! In college I was part of a program that help struggling readers learn to read. I discovered that teaching a struggling reader how to read is the most rewarding aspect of teaching Elementary Education. So many learning possibilities are unlocked.

A student cannot learn unless he is comfortable and confident. My first priority before teaching is to make sure the student is relaxed and believes he can accomplish the goal. I also like to get to know my student to know what kind of learner he is and what he likes. My teaching style is "delight directed" whenever possible.
In 2001, I received my certification in Elementary Education from CCSU. I then substitute taught for the town of West Hartford for 2 years while I got married and had my son. Elementary Reading is one of my top subjects! I absolutely love to read when i was in high school i always loved to read out loud in class. If your kid needs help reading and is scares to read out loud because of words they dont know i will be glad to help out with that.

I have plenty that i've been tought so maybe using some of them could help the students understand better.
I am only 19 and i graduated class of 2011. I've had a lot of help when i was in school so i know it can be stressful and tough but i found it a lot easier when i got help from people. Kids may be shy or maybe they just find the work is to hard and there scared to get help but i'm easy and outgoing i don't force kids to do there work. It takes time for them to understand how to work things out how to talk to teachers.
