I was a first generation student that strived to succeed as a collegestudent where I encountered difficult obstacles along the way. Through my own determination I have succeeded and have earned by Bachelors degree where I was able to complete a double major in accounting and spanish in four years from a prestigious university. I enjoy "de-coding" mathematics to those who naturally stuggle with basic concepts from algebra to calculus. I use principles of mathematics in my day-to-day life, so being able to communicate the importance and "real-life" scenarios with students can be helpful in illustrating it's applications. Lastly, my family consists mainly of 2 professions: physicians and teachers. In order to give back to the community, I believe that I have the responsibility to use my talent and personability in order to help struggling students excel in their educational endeavors.
