My teaching style is that I determine how best the student learns through observation and direct incouragement, instilling confidence for them to break through all barriers. I have tutored math, biology and chemistry for the last 5 years at a college level. In math, I tutored up to the trigonometry level, as well as holding math seminars lasting as long as 2 weeks. In biology, I have tutored human biology, anatomy, physiology and microbiology for 5 years. In addition, I was offered a teaching assistant position for the lab portions of anatomy (which I did for three years) and microbiology (which I did for one year.) I worked for over 2 years as a study session leader for various engineering courses while getting my B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. I also tutored several students in engineering classes at the college level. I have experience working with elementary through high school students as well.
I have a passion for helping people, and nothing satifies me more than helping a person understand a concept and succeed in his or her class. I teach using a lot of examples and incorporating the concepts into the example problems so that the student can see how the examples are based on the concepts.
