Reading Comprehension is one of my top subjects! When working with my reading students, I purchase materials that have single paragraphs with questions at the end to test reading comprehension. I encourage them to look back and reread the various passages that might have the answer.

My comments on tutoring Reading Comprehension : My Abilities & Experiences concerning Reading Comprehension is nearly identical to those of Reading in general: My passions for literature and writing obviously go hand in hand with reading. Helping others is something that I have always enjoyed doing. I have been working with students in a reading program at a Title I school for 2 years; working with second language students teaching them the English language. I have taught Math and Science for 4th and 5 grade using the Foss system. The Science program was a hands on experiments, writing and keeping a science notebook. Evaluations were given at the end of each lesson segment involving the Foss Systems. Taught 3rd grade all subject for 5 years teaching all subjects. I have been recognized for classroom management above expectations for the school. Students were taught with creativity and experience using hands on manipulatives and differenciated lessons.
