I graduated from Penn State University in the Fall of 2010, earning my B.S. in Science (Life Science Option). My degree very closely related to the typical Biology degree; however, mine afforded me the ability to specifically tailor my upper level courses to focus more heavily on Anatomy, Physiology, Psychology, and medically related Biology courses. My teaching style is one of non-confrontational teaching. I have had professors who did that, and it only serves to put the student on edge and not lend itself to learning. I prefer to find out what the pupil is having trouble with and then see if I can find an interest in the concept for the student to make it relevant and help him retain the concepts involved.
