Don't fail because you're scared to ask for help!

Hands on. Using a board to explain concepts and then letting student take a try. Most students learn better by doing.
Chemistry tutor at local learning center. All of my students received a passing final grade ( so far)! I taught 19 courses of biology/anatomy to undergraduate students at ECU. This was the most joyful time in my career. I've discovered that chemistry is difficult because teachers only teach one way. It begins to click when a student hears the same info from a different perspective.

My comments on tutoring Biology : Took AP bio in high school and passed with a good understanding of the various processes and structures of cells along with the other topics if basic biology.

I like students to understand how the material they are learning can and is being applied to everyday situations. So I often will talk about the big topics that have been covered explain why they are useful and then show the student how to perform various calculations or apply the nessecary logic to solve problems.
I am a Mechanical Engineering and Geology dual major with a 3.6 GPA. I understand mathematics very well and have tutored fellow students in math and physics, successfully for years. Biology is one of my top subjects! I am currently an university employed tutor in biology after attaining the highest possible scores in all general bio I, II and the corresponding laboratories as well as Primate Behavioral Ecology.
