I am currently in my first year teaching in Indianapolis. I am a licensed Biology teacher although I have a strong math and science background. I would love to have an opportunity to work with students on a one-on-one basis. I believe that students need guidance and structure in order to reach their highest potential. I began college as an engineering major, so I have background in advanced mathematics and physics. I went on to change my major to psychology where I gained knowlege of social and behavioral sciences, as well as research technologies and statistical analysis. Since graduating college with a B.A. in psychology, I have worked as a psychology researcher, accounting assistant, and in 3 different roles for an international pharmaceutical company. Having two wonderful elementary teachers, I was inspired to become a teacher. I graduated in 1988 with an Elementary Education degree. I began my career as a teacher's aide but soon decided to be a stay-at-home mom to my two children. In 1994, I began to home teach my three children. I graduated my youngest in 2008.
