My comments on tutoring Composition : I have student teaching experience in the elementary school setting and was an middle school English teacher in South Korea for two years.

My teaching style incorporates all learning styles, because I am a firm believer that we all learn differently. I am a very patient and passionate teacher. Being excited about the subject is key to being a successful teacher. However, I expect my students to be motivated and to give 100 percent effort to their studies.
I studied Elementary Education during my undergraduate. During this time, I was a student teacher on several different occasions. I assisted the home room teacher and independently planned and taught lessons to the students. I have worked with grades 1 to 5 as a student teacher. I enjoyed teaching and was a very passionate teacher, but I realized that work as a social worker would allow me to help my students on a more personal level. After graduating from Purdue University in 2003 I was fortunate to have myriad teaching experiences with students of varied skill and income levels. I started my career in elementary education but quickly found a love for middle school where I began teaching English in 2004. I thoroughly enjoy working with a student on the craft of writing and seeing them bloom as an author. Their writing skills can open so many doors for them as they become adults and I enjoy being a part of that learning process.
All children can learn. When I meet a student there is never an issue of him or her being unable to improve. It is simply a matter of finding their motivation and highlighting their strengths.
