I received a BA in General Business from WSU, and was honored as a Cum Laude graduate. The courses were varied and included a wide array of math application, from supply and demand curves to interest rate calculations. My classmates gave me the nickname "Webster" because I was frequently asked to edit their papers and to tutor them in several different subjects. I love working with teenagers, and watching their faces change when they really GET a concept for the first time!
I believe students will rise to the level of expectations set for them. I am a bit of a comedian, and I use humor to allay frustration in learning situations. I believe in setting goals and charting a specific path for reaching them, while being flexible enough to alter the path along the way. Praise and positive reinforcement are powerful tools when teaching challenging material, and I use them frequently.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned dual undergraduate degrees, a BA in Mathematics and a BA in Economics, from Eastern Washington University. While attending EWU I worked as a econometrics tutor and teaching assistant. I have been admitted to a PhD program at Washington State University for this coming fall. Through tutoring at EWU, I have demonstrated an ability to effectively communicate with diverse populations. I have strong quantitative skills in mathematical, statistical and economic contexts.
I work to explore and supplement the existing knowledge of each student. I do not give answers but rather provide direction and support. Quantitative problems require self-confidence,I help students develop poise.
