A Little Bit About Me...

As a Social Worker I came in contact with young adults who have dropped out of school because of becoming young parents, drug use, and or a lack of support from parents. My initial contact was to address child abuse and or neglect but I quickly recognized the bigger picture included their inability to process information because of a lack of education. I started a parenting class to give them a safe place to start looking at these issues.
I teach so I can empower the individule to create a goal that can be attained. I have a stregth based approach, which gives the one I am teaching a positive outlook at what they can achieve. My focus is to empower the student to achieve their goals and to make the choice to further their education with enformed guidelines.

A Little Bit About Me...

I would like to continue to develop my teaching skills while creating a challenging and fun learning environment for students. Currently, I am working towards a Graduate Degree in Geography and Education. I have extensive knowledge in areas of social studies as well as writing research papers.
