Math is one of my top subjects! I have been a special education teacher most of my career. The area that I have given the most assistance is math. I also work with general education students.

I have a classroom in my apartment actually because I used to teach students in China until the Ministry of education changed. As a result, I have close to four years experience in online teaching with a hardwire Internet connection and lights. I also have a few classroom props that I enjoy using. Students find that I am patient and I have a sense of humor. Having rapport with a student is one of the most important skills, if not the most important skill that a tutor could use.
As a 20 year teacher, I have worked with students from a variety of backgrounds and situations. I am a firm believer that strict memorization does not allow the student to broaden their ability to solve problems of various flavors. A Little Bit About Me...

Through my years in my last position I was able to witness firsthand how different teaching styles worked well for different children. The one common factor was that if I could make it fun and add an element of hands on type activities the lessons were retained better. I also have extensive writing experience, including for many newspapers, and am currently teaching Political Science at the Community-College level.
