A Little Bit About Me...

I try to use as many resources as are available. What I mean is, in the Anatomy and Physiology labs there were models available to look at. I’ve used molecular models in Organic Chemistry for chemical structure. Sometimes asking a question can start the process of learning. A lot of it depends on the subject matter and the student involved. I try to remain open in my efforts to help others.
While enrolled in Anatomy and Physiology, my professor asked if I would be interested in becoming a tutor in the class. At that moment, I felt both a strong desire to help others and the fear of letting others down. I accepted the tutoring position because my passion for learning and helping others won out. I have had several opportunities over the last few years to help my co-workers with their adult education and not only am I able to help, they always return to me when they need more help.

I am a seasoned adjunct instructor and tutor at the introductory level at a Community College. I have taught a graduate level Chemistry course at a Masters granting College. My education includes a M.S. Polymer Chemistry/Science, B.S. in Biology and 46 Credits of Chemistry . More importantly I have worked as a teaching assistant at a School for Autistic children. I loved the subject of biology at a very early age. However, it was my educators in high school and college that helped guide me towards a career in biology.
