A Little Bit About Me...

I've taught Aesthetics, Critical Theory, Painting and Drawing at various schools on the East Coast. These include New York University, Penn State University, Maine College of Art and The University of Southern Maine. I currently teach at The University of Maine at Farmington. I'm also a grant writer, specializing in academic grants in the Arts and Humanities. This has made me quite proficient in writing clear, concise and readily accessible prose on a multitude of topics.

The school of Education in North Carolina prepared me well. I am above all flexible. My license reads K-8 and I have taught Art K-6 for a year, Second Grade for two years in NC. Then in 2001 I taught Title One reading in TN for a year then Fourth grade for three more years. My family moved to Northern VA and I taught Fifth grade there for two years before moving back to TN for a year where I taught 8th grade Algebra, and 7th grade English. Since moving to Maine I have only had oppurtunity to work with alterative special Ed with grades 6, 7 and 8.
