Enjoy Educating the Young and Eager to Learn Mind

I enjoy teaching teaching young people to learn and develop. I have young children of my own that I teach when they come home from school. I recently graduated from Georgia State University and will be going to graduate school next fall. I work part time some months, and full time other months at a financial institution and on my own customer service business.I have excelled in most subjects in college through effective studying and repetition, that is what I will teach every student I encounter. I have taught private flute lessons for 10+ years from beginners to advanced and children to adults. I have also helped with marching and concert bands as a woodwind instructor in local schools. I started taking flute lessons at the age of 12 under the instruction of Betsy Hudson-Traba, principal flutist of the Sarasota Orchestra. With a solid foundation in flute playing, I went on to study with Eva Amsler at the Florida State University where I earned my Bachelor of Music in flute performance. There were a lot of wonderful playing opportunities at FSU and as an undergraduate I was playing in the top orchestra. I was a member of the “world renown” Marching CHIEFS, where I served as section leader to 50+ flutes. Hello! My name is Anna. I started playing flute in 2002 in Elementary School, and thoroughly fell in love with it. By 2004 I decided to begin competing, and so I did. I continued on competing throughout the years and participated in several classes in school for band students. In middle school, I began picking up random instruments and learning them, though I never did progress. I can play other instruments, but I'm not able to teach anything other then Flute/Piccolo. As you can see, once I hit high school, most of the awards stopped. I didn't audition because of the stress of battling with grades and practicing long hours. Preparing for competitions stressed me out beyond belief, so I quickly began practicing on my own terms. I never did stop playing flute, though I did stop competing.
