I was a Supply instructor for Atlanta Public Schools for approximately eight years, and have a degree in English. I worked at the middle grades level in various subjects, as required, with a primary focus in math. I unfortunately do not have the materials left from my employ, but can tutor using computers, and school materials for reference.
The realization that children do well in small group instructional settings, and on an individual tutoring basis, is what I took most from my years in the classroom. My comments on tutoring Composition : I have written essays and articles that have been accepted for publication.

My experience in writing extends 20 years. This includes publication. My book, More Than I Deserve, was published in February, 2013. I am currently working on screenplays for film and animation. Presently, I am adapting a novel by a local author to a light comedy screenplay. It is a coming of age story about the author's boyhood. The work is for a local publishing company.
Of course, I will teach the basics. But I want my students to find and express themselves through the written word.
