My teaching style is very interactive in the Socratic method. I act as a guide for teaching much as a catalyst for learning. The emphasis in all of my classes is in communication skills and building character. As college prep classes are structured to teach note taking and research and writing skills. I hold a Doctorate degree in Jurisprudence and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Oklahoma City University. I have five years middle and high school teaching experience with Rocky Mountain International Academy in Montrose, Colorado. I have taught the following subjects - Latin I, Latin II, Latin III, U.S. History, Colorado History, Great Books, Civics, Economics, Rhetoric, Debate, Drama, Computer Spreadsheets, and Business. Past graduates of the school and my classes have found success in colleges such as Air Force Academy and Colorado School of Mines.

As one who received a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, I've always loved education. With corporate background I have excellent grammatical and communication skills. In the corporations in which I worked, I wrote training manuals and trained and counseled managers and supervisors. During the past 8 years I have tutored students in math, psychology, spatial orientation, writing and reading. I also work with the Feurstein MLE program. I enjoy teaching children of all ages, particularly on a one-to-one basis. In addition, I learn from the children. I believe a child learns best through individual attention and the opportunity to have those "aha" moments. People of all ages can meet and exceed their potential. My experience with tutoring children is that we have made a difference in each other's lives.
