I love biology. You will too. My students will become experts in their fields, but they are not there yet. It is not my style to throw them in the deep end and hope they can hear me yelling commands. It is my style to jump in and swim with them until they take off on their own. It is my desire to teach because it is here that I can know my students and personally be a part of their success. A Little Bit About Me...

My Physics class had the chance to work with machinery used in vocational careers. I also taught Teacher Cadets, a class for students interested in the field of Education. During the last six-weeks students completed a student teaching experience working with K-12 teachers. My physics students competed in several engineering contests, (paper airplane, egg drop, rubber band car, etc.) which provided several students scholarships. My biology class did soil testing for the local citizens. These are a couple of examples I utilize in my classroom. I want my students to understand the material, not just memorize it. I use an assortment of activities and hands-on techniques to achieve this objective.
