Trumpet is one of my top subjects!

I'm very much open to working at the student's current ability level and pacing. I expect the student to practice what we cover in lessons so the resulting lessons are used to cover new ground, not review for the full time. I have spent much of my degrees soaking up as much knowledge about Trumpet Pedagogy as possible, and posses a firm grasp on many of today's leading performance methods.

As a graduate of Bowling Green State University's Master of Education program, I have always had a passion for working with students in both a school and counseling setting. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology, which enabled me gain employment as a Crisis Hotline Phone Attendant and a Behavioral Specialist in a Children's Home for troubled and at risk youth. In addition to completing the Masters program, I also earned my school counseling license. A Little Bit About Me...

As a foster parent, I tutored our first child as he progressed through kindergarten and the first grade. His previous school experience was lacking at best, and he had little confidence in his scholastic ability. I was able to pinpoint his natural aptitude--mathematics--and use it to help not only boost his self-esteem regarding academics, but also to tailor my approach to his other subjects as well. Since math is very much tied to logic, using logical constructs to aid him in his critical thinking proved fruitful in showing him how to solve problems regarding tasks such as alphabetization, grammar, and spelling, among others.
