My teaching style is student-centered. This approach is two-fold. I use scaffolds to assist in the discovery process, but encourage students to truly perform the “learning” independently, better preparing them for future endeavors. I also focus my delivery and content around the students’ interests, skill-levels, and abilities. I believe everyone has the right to an education and modify accordingly. I am patient, humorous, and approachable. It is not my goal for the students to fear me; I want to be an authority figure that they respect but also trust.
