After three years I taught for one year at Clayton Primary in a multi-handicapped class. I then transferred to Four Oaks Middle School in 1993 where I continue to teach. The first year there I taught a self-contained mentally handicapped class, and since then I have taught through the inclusion model. I graduated with my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University. Being a mother of teenagers gives me an edge as a teacher. I have tremendous patience and understanding of the daily lives of young people.
