A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated with my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University. With that, I had to complete many practical hours in the classroom as well as complete volunteer leadership hours outside of the university classroom. I had completed student teaching. After student teaching, I held a teacher assistant position as well as substitute taught in classrooms. Because I was licensed and a good teacher, I was called numerous times to be a sub. I recently completed my work on the National Board Certification and I plan to work on my Masters in teaching in January.

Tutoring is not just about improving grades, although that is the most obvious result. It is about allowing the student to feel the pride of success, and learn how to transfer newly learned skills in one subject to other unrelated subjects. I truly believe that every student can be successful. Sometimes the pathway to success is not always visible to the student; a competent teacher can point the way.
