With my numerous experiences in education, I think I could be a great asset in helping students become more knowledgeable. I have worked as a Tutor, Assistant Teacher, and did a short placement as an Interim Teacher. I can easily adjust to changing environments that will best suit the student’s potential. I was a Tutor in an after school program, and was an Assistant Teacher in a Special Education classroom. I finished an Interim Teaching placement in a middle school A.P. English classroom.
I have a somewhat relaxed teaching style that does not compromise the distinction or respect between student and teacher. In working with students one needs to have the ability to connect with that student at their level of understanding. This can be different for every student, and the tutor needs to adjust to the student. A tutor has to be able to do this or the student will not be any better off. It is my firm belief that I need to find a way to connect with each student, and find a way to help them understand what they need to learn.
