My backgrounds in special education (BS), adult GED preparation, and nursing (AAS - RN) have helped me develop into a patient, skilled, and compassionate teacher/tutor. I have a strong instructional foundation in basic math, pre-algebra, basic geometry, nursing math, anatomy and physiology, essay writing, English usage, and learning disabilities. As a published author, I know the importance of careful proofreading and editing skills and am well able to apply this knowledge with my writing students. I love teaching, learning, and researching. I received my BS in Accounting 1988. While getting my degree I was involved in the on campus tutoring program. I have tutored students in, accounting mathematics, philosophy, marketing, business law, finance, and religion. Since graduating from college I have had several training opportunities in various jobs. These jobs have given me a wide range of experience in training (tutoring) a wide range of people with various levels of education, and their ability to grasp the information required for the job. I have passion for teaching others what I have learned. My work experience and education have given me a great deal of knowledge and I want to pass that along to others that may benefit from it.
