I have tutored before, I am currently tutoring kids at my high school everyday in the subject in which they need help in. My goal in tutoring is to not only to have the child succeed in the course but to understand the concept of the course. My style of teaching is different for each child, because everyone does not learn the same way. Some people are visual learners and with them I focus on teaching them with pictures. Others are audible learners in which with these I focus on teaching with songs. My main reason for tutoring is to make learning fun!

I have applied and practiced these skills in various business industries over my 12 year working career. I also have experience teaching at the under graduate level for the Measurement and Instrumentation course in the engineering program at Iowa State University.
My teaching style is to first teach the basic principles and then teach how they can be extended and used to solve problems. As a graduate with an engineering related BS degree from North Carolina State University, my background intense in the maths and sciences. After entering the workforce for a few years, I took a few classes in education to acquire my teaching license in comprehensive science at the secondary level. I have taught primarily chemistry and physical science for 3.5 years, but have also taught biology and earth science. During the 2007-2008 school-year, at Warren Central High School, in Bowling Green, KY, I was a math tutor. I tutored students getting ready to take there ACT and SAT. I worked with a wide variety of students from different races to students who first language was not English.
