My style tends to range based on who I am trying to teach, and I suppose is most accurately labeled as adaptive. I understand that different people learn things in different ways, and so I try to accommodate that with my teaching. For instance if I found that a student learns better visually then I would attempt to use visual cues and examples in lesson plans to make the material as easy to understand as possible. I also believe in keeping a very loose and pleasant atmosphere, and making sure that everyone feels comfortable and safe, which I believe also assists in the learning process.
My first major mentoring/teaching experience occurred in college when I began leading study groups and eventually organizing tutoring sessions with a number of my fellow English, Calculus, and Physics students. A Little Bit About Me...

I recently graduated from Florida International University. I have been working as a tutor in mathematics for various levels, particularly college, since I started my mathematics degree program. Ever since I have been working as a tutor, at least part-time, to help those who have problems in mathematics succeed. Every time a student improves it is truly satisfying and I consider it an achievement.
I am passionate about mathematics and I enjoy teaching it. Various students have different styles of learning and it is only through individual exposure that I am able to find the right learning technique for any give student. Patient and faith in the students, however, are the most determining factors in teaching them.
