English is one of my top subjects! I will graduate with my B.A. in English.

My teaching style is student centered. I believe that in order for the student to grasp the material the lesson needs to be meaning for them. The authoritative teacher is not me. I like to be flexible making accommodations for the student so that they will have an open room to learn, because every student doesn’t learn the same way. I am currently an English major at The University of Tampa and will be graduating December of this year. My aspirations are to become an English teacher as well as a head contact for TESOL. "Half of knowledge is knowing where to find it."

Once while subbing, I entered a classroom where the students had been allowed to watch Jerry Springer on TV for the last two weeks. I couldn't let this continue, but I saw how emotional the class was about the show. I encouraged them to write their own talk show and told them we would perform it the next day. I find that connecting student's interest with the subject matter to be learned is the best way to teach.
After completing my undergraduate degree in English Literature at Florida State University, I worked as a substitute teacher in Hillsborough County for two years. In 2009, I completed my Master's Degree in Communication at University of South Florida while simultaneously employed at the Department of Special Education. I taught English to Speakers of Other Languages as Senior Instructor with Inlingua (Vienna, Austria) for a period of two years and instituted an out source program for this company whereby I visited the offices of professionals such as lawyers, doctors and bankers and factories manned by blue collar workers to assist in their achieving greater fluency in English. I acted as a volunteer ESOL instructor at the Tarpon Springs campus of St. Petersburg College in 2011. While in the US Air Force I gave ESOL instruction to Korean Air Force Officers. Good High school student looking to make money,
