I believe with my background I should be a good candidate for the tutoring position. I have a B.S. Chemistry from Elizabeth City State University, where I did R&D work with Atrazine. Atrazine is a pesticide that was tested qualitatively and quantitatively using HPLC. I've completed coursework for a M.S. Chemical Physics from Norfolk State University. After being offered a Teaching Assistantship, I taught multiple chemistry laboratory classes. My graduate research focuses on synthesizing organic monomers for Photovoltaic applications; however, I have assisted with research devoted to immobilizing enzymes onto solid supports at the Center for Materials Research, NSU. A Little Bit About Me...

It has been proven that students have different styles of learning. Thus, I understand that my tutoring approach will not be the same for each client. I usually start off with a detailed explanation of the problem that includes diagrams and models. If that is not enough, then I usually try a more spatial approach to the problem by demonstrating science and math in everyday life.
