Reading is one of my top subjects! I love to teach children how to read! I have seen different strategies work best for different children. We all learn best in different ways!

I have taught in a first and second grade classroom for ten years, and served as a Reading Specialist for k-5 for seven. I have discovered that the most successful way to teach a child how to read is gaining their interest and full attention, while observing what learning style is best for each individual child. I delight in helping students to acquire new knowledge and there is satisfaction in having students thank the teacher after a class.
