A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching in many aspects over the last decade. After receiving my BA from Wheelock College, I have been a teacher in many areas. I have taught Oppositional Defiant 11-13 year olds, 1st grade in California, a third grade Structured English Immersion class in Phoenix, been a Newspaper in Education Coordinator, kindergarten, then first grade, and then fifth grade in California, and now .I have been working as a long-term substitute teacher as well as a daily substitute. I began taking Master's classes for ESL in California, and then I finished my Master's of Education after we moved to Minnesota. I enjoy writing and researching education.

I tutored students in General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. I was also a peer advisor creating and presenting academic programs to first year students helping them choose a major and plan their four-year schedule. As an aerospace engineering student at Embry-Riddle, mathematics comes quite easily to me. I enjoy solving and creating mathematical problems. At Embry-Riddle I quickly became known as the "go to" guy for all math related questions. Within the first two weeks of the first semester I was leading a Calculus 2 study group and retained my position as such until the end of the semester. While the study group dwindled in size for Calculus 3 I did still lead the group.
I enjoy teaching mathematics and biology. If the student is willing to learn in some fashion I can help him or her.
