The first thing I do with any new student is identify his or her learning style so that I may incorporate those specific strategies into my lesson for an effective and personalized learning experience. My lessons are very interactive, and a main aspect is to nurture critical thinking. After setting up a situation, I will pose problems for the student to solve. I have most of my experience working with English language learners. Over the past year I have worked with English language learners that came from varied backgrounds such as, university aged Korean students, adult Russian speakers, adult Ukrainian speakers, and adult, middle, and elementary aged Spanish speakers.
