My comments on tutoring Bio-Medical Engineering : Taught biomedical instrumentation at the university level and was an engineer in the industry for 10 years.

I possess over 30 years of academic/industry training the areas of mathematics, networking, programming and engineering. Having taught for 2 universities, 2 community colleges and several private institutions I bring to the class both an academic/private industry point of view. Students are taught not only the specific details of the course but are also shown where the subject matter is used in industry along jobs which might employ this knowledge. I prefer informal/one-on-one teaching with strong interactivity of the student and teacher during the instruction session.
I am capable of both structured and informal teaching styles depending upon the situation. I find that when smaller increments of course instruction is followed up with the student demonstrating proficiency and comprehension the overall learning experience is maximized. When I educate young people, I believe in allowing the class essentially teach themselves and empower them to conduct peer reviews, which does wonders for their self esteem. More About This Tutor...

As a mentor, working with children as always been a passion of mine. In my experience, I know that children learn at different speeds and in different ways. But also they tend to respond better academically when they have a tutor that they are able to relate to. I will do my best to relate to all students, and working closely with them to see how they learn best and in this way we both will be successful at what we came to do.
I obtained a bachelor of science in Biological Sciences, but I was determined to strive for the best, and also wanted to obtain a greater understanding of the subject. As a result, I return to school to complete my masters in Biomedical Sciences. Although, I have never formerly tutor for an instition, I have worked with pre-teens and teens as a mentor for over a year and a half for the Youth Development Network.
