I am currently the Sixth Grade History Teacher at Williamsburg Collegiate Charter School. My responsibilities at WCCS include developing rigorous objectives for the Sixth Grade History curriculum. Moreover, I serve as a Special Education Guided Reading Instructor for eight, Sixth grade students. As a student who has dabbled in so many areas, it is easy for me to assess when a teacher/professor is not explaining a concept in a method that helps the students. I have previous experience tutoring, but my teaching talent comes from my role as the unofficial tutor for most of my classes. As a recent college graduate, I feel I have achieved a level of experience that allows me to share my knowledge with others. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications Arts, which gives me the ability to master communicating with others and furthermore - teaching others. I have worked at an after school program and as a babysitter for a total of 5 years so I am experienced at tutoring. I worked as a choreographer for 5 years as well - which shows my teaching experience and dance experience. I love teaching and watching children succeed. All children learn differently, which is why I alter my teaching techniques based on their learning methods. I figure out what suits them best and than use that method to teach them.
