I graduated National-Louis University with a 3.7 GPA, and am also in the Kappa Delta Pi honors society for teaching. I have had many years of experience in the classroom, and with many different programs. I also have tutored previously for Sylvan tutoring. I am a Golden Apple Scholar, which is a prestigious award for teaching scholars that I won my senior year of high school. My experience has mostly been with younger students but recently I have tutored some high school students, as well.
I am very passionate about teaching. I am a very hands-on type of teacher that really likes to get the student involved in their learning. I am open to different tutoring/teaching styles to accommodate different peoples individual needs and differences in learning style.I am very passionate about teaching/tutoring and enjoy helping others and seeing them understand a concept that before may have been trivial to them. I do whatever I possibly can in order to accommodate each persons needs. I give 110% when teaching/tutoring because I have to give all I can when helping others because I know that most of the time this is the difference in grades for that individual.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a graduate of Western Illinois University, and I am excited to be starting my teaching career. I have earned a bachelor degree in Elementary Education and have received my teaching certificate for Elementary (K-9). I have been teaching in a pre-school for the past three summers while I was finishing my schooling. I have had the opportunity to work in many schools while finishing my degree. One program that I really enjoyed volunteering my time in was America Reads. I was able to tutor students in reading and help them to become better readers through this program. I am very committed to my career and plan on pursuing a master's degree in the near future.
