My teaching style with younger children is to have a relaxed setting where no pressure in placed upon the student. I'm always sure to review my material before going into a new lecture. When a student is not understanding the material I try to use many methods for then to gain a better understanding. When I was younger it was easier for me to understand information if I can relate it to my life, so I will apply the same methods with teaching others.
As a college student I am still striving for my goal and dream of becoming a veterinarian. I have always been a mentor in my community and willing to help others where they need help. My favorite subjects throughout grade school include math and science, in which I have excelled in both by being placed in honor level classes throughout high school. Since 1999 I have tutored in many formats and venues entailing; elementary students, college students and adult learners. From 1999 to 2001 taught sociology courses at Auburn University as Graduate Assistant, and from 2003-2005 K - 8 students reading comprehension and English Arts. Presently I hold an M.S. in General Psychology & B.A. on Liberal Arts (with a concentration in American and Western Civilization History courses).

A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate student at the University of Alabama I instructed 3 college level physical geography laboratory sections per semester. This experience sharpened my communication skills and provided a valuable new perspective on the learning process. I was also employed as a tutor for the University's Athletic Department.
