Throughout my life, I have enjoyed doing mathematics. It has been my strongest subject since grade school. In middle school and high school I was consistently one of the top students in my mathematics courses. In college i took 3 semesters of Calculus (I, II, and III), 2 semesters of Probability and Statistics (I and II) and College Algebra along with some more advanced courses. Spanish is one of my top subjects! At 16 I decided I needed to see the world so I moved to Argentina as an exchange student. I spent a year learning both the culture and language of the country. I was able to travel a lot and really felt like a member of their society. I have a bachelors degree in Spanish and I also spent a second 6 months in Costa Rica and an additional month in Peru.

I believe that a lack of success in academic's is usually attributed to one of two things; a lack of motivation(it's not fun enough) or a misunderstanding of the fundamentals(which brings a feeling of hopelessness). This is particularly true in foreign languages. Many times a person must rewire their brain when it comes to learning a new language. My goal in tutoring is to help students not just fix a problem but create an overall understanding of what they are learning. I also like to focus on making goals and increasing motivation to learn. It is important to me to teach not only those skills but work on life values like respect, curiosity, creativity, and comprehension.

I am a recent graduate of kennesaw State University, with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology.
