In 2006 I taught graphic design topics at Westwood College. In 2007 I taught the same subject at The Creative Circus (roughly equivalent to an MBA program for designers, writers, photographers, and art directors). In 2008 I taught in the design department for Georgia State University. This summer I traveled to a remote region in India to teach English. I have taught GRE prep for the past 3 years, covering the verbal, quantitative (math), and analytical writing (essay) areas. As a test prep teacher, I have a close knowledge of students' approach to graduate school, and the process of improving their chances of acceptance to schools of choice. During my undergraduate studies, I was selected the Departmental Tutor for French language by the Converse College Foreign Language Department. I also taught an entry-level French "drill" class for four years throughout my undergraduate experience. For three years after my graduation from college, I worked with at-risk youth as a wilderness instructor, and also a behavior modification specialist. During my work with at-risk youth, I also tutored such subjects as science, English, algebra, and foreign language.
Education is of utmost importance to me, and I believe that all children can learn, but some lack the study skills necessary to succeed in school.
